Tusal September

This month my ORT bag is full of some ends from sewing hook organizer and I did few more squares for my Moogly CAL

 

  I decorated my organizer with seed beads, just couldn't resist doing it :) 

And here is my pile of granny squares, I have 10 of them so far.

Crochet necklace

I started over this necklace several times, it didn't want to like nice. But finally I got what I wanted. I used clear seed beads and variegated I bought for cross stitching few years ago and now look at this beautiful frosting effect. I like it very much and probably will repeat it green and blue colors.

Moogly CAL, blocks 8,9,10

Now I'm far far behind with my blocks for Moogly CAL, I've made only 3 during last 3 months, but hopefully I'll catch up as soon as possible.  However my pile of blocks is growing.

 На этот раз я сильно отстаю от графика и за последние 3 месяца связала всего три квадрата. Надеюсь, что догоню в ближайшее время, тем неменеее, моя кучка квадратиков потихоньку растет.

Late July and August TUSAL

Wow, I always forget about posting my TUSAL report, maybe because it's summer and I feel lazy to do something. So I have few yarn in my July and August bottles. I had some scraps and ends after doing jewelry but I forgot to keep them to make a picture.

 But I also want to show you some beautiful poppies from Montreal Botanical Garden.

Turquoise beaded pendent

 One more beaded pendent, this time I used green turquoise (howlite) donut shape cabochon as an accent stone. Not long ago I found beautiful Czech beads "turquoise picasso" that nicely match the colors of my stone. Howlite has lot of copper inserts that's why I stopped my eyes on topaz seed beads as companion color. Seashells beads and nuggets add contrast to the pendent and make it look elegant.
Unfortunately the picture doesn't show all the beauty of the pendent.

Howlite necklaces

Last Christmas we went to Jamaica  with my family and when I close my eyes I still can see the ocean, the sand and feel the breeze... This nostalgia ended up in two necklaces that remind me about my holidays. Probably I will do some more :)
  

Multicolor Dyed Howlite Set of Necklace and Earings.  This two strings necklace made with genuine polished Howlite chips. The colors varies from dark blue to off white. The matching colors of seed beads add freshness and airiness to the recklace.

For the next necklace I also used howlite chips (but the smaller size)  and aventurine chips.




На прошлое рождество мы ездили отдыхать на Ямайку и, закрывая глаза я попрежнему вижу океан, песок, чувствую легкий бриз... Эта ностальгия вылилась в создании бус с использованием камушков хаулита и авантюрина.

Hope by Mill Hill

Here is a beautiful design from Mill Hill collection called "Hope". I made it for my friend's birthday as everyone needs hope for the best.
I like the simple design of this project  and it was a great pleasure stitching with beads and threads.

Замечательный набор из коллекции Mill Hill  под названием Надежда ("Hope"). Эту работу я сделала в подарок ко дню рождения моей подруги, так как мне кажется, что каждому нужна надежда, что все будет хорошо не смотря ни на что.
Этот проект мне понравился своим простым дизайном и было большим удовольствием работать в очередной раз с биссером.

Blue Beaded Necklaces

This season light blue is my favorite color, and as far as I like beads I decided to try my hands at jewelry making :) Well actually I started to do it some time ago but only now decided to show what I've done.
So I'd like to show 2 nice blue beaded necklaces. A lariat with fringed tassels is made using Czech and  seed beads and different glass beads.

And the embroidered necklace with Sea Jasper and Dragon Veins cabochons. 

В этом сезоне синий - мой люмый цвет.  Итак как я по прежнему люблю биссер, то решила попробовать использовать его в другом виде творчества - изготовление бижутерии.  Почему бы и нет :) Вообще-то украшения начала делать давно, но вот только сейчас решилась показать результаты.  И сегодня это замечательный лариат, сделанный из чешского бисера и стекляных бусин и колье с использованием  кабошонов Sea Jasper и Dragon Veins.

Sophie CAL final part

Ура! Я закончила это замечательное одеяло! Узнала много нового пока вязала и.. довольна результатом как слон! Не смотря на то, что нитки синтетика, одеяло очень мягкое, но слягка тяжеловато.
Скорее всего буду использовать как плед в холодные зимние вечера :)

В этот раз попросила своих мальчишек поппозировать на одеяле.

Ну и ирисы с моего огорода для поднятия настроения!

Tusal June

OMG! I am late again! Summer is a very busy time....
This month my bag is full of yarns and scraps from school project.  No, not mine. I was asked to teach my son's classmates how to sew and we made small bags. Kids were very happy and tried as hard as they could though there were kids who didn't know how to handle a needle.

And of cause I was working on my Sophie blanket and ... finished it!  I will post the pictures later, but it looks amazing!

Moogly CAL Blocks 5,6,7

I'm a little bit behind of schedule but I take my time and crochet when I feel like doing it :)
So I finally finished blocks 5-7 the  last one (Pinwheel ) was a little bit tricky as it was made of 4 smaller square with constantly changing colors.

Я немного отстаю от расписания, но особо не переживаю и вяжу тогда, когда есть настроение. Таким образом я наконец доделала блоки с 5 по 7, последний  (вертушка) был особенно сложный, так как состоит из 4 маленьких квадратов с постоянной сменой цветов.

I'm late again with my  TUSAL post... Spring :)
I still crochet but thinking about going back to cross stitching :)

Sophie CAL (parts 10-13)

Ну вот,  теперь покрывало приобрело квадратный вид и до завершения остается совсем чуть-чуть.  В середине мая будет опубликована последняя часть узора и рекомендации как его увеличить.  Я немного отстаю от плана, буквально на 1 недельньку, но мне так нравится больше, так как есть возможность увидеть продолжение узора и решить где какой цвет использовать.

Sophie Universal Call 2015

В этой части провязавылась "бабочки", очень даже симпатичные. На улице их пока не видно, но вот цветочки и шмели уже летают вовсю и поднимают настроение. 

А такие вот крокусы цветут у меня под окном и радают глаз.

Sophie's cal (parts 7-9)

Следующая часть моего покрывала, добавляются новые цветочки по бокам, поэтому для листиков решила ввести еще один цвет - зеленый. И вот что получилось из этого :

Мое покрывало растет довольно быстро, но вот все никак не доходили руки показать, что получается. Постараюсь показывать прогресс частями.  Одеялко получается пестреньким и так получилось, что гоубой стал базовым, а остальные цвета второстипенные

TUSAL March and April

I missed the march TUSAL post and today want to show my both jars. During last two month I was busy with Sophie CAL 2015 that is why my jars filled with yarns

Sophie’s Universe ( part 3,4)

Еще 20 рядов позади и море удовольствия от вязания! Когда-то в школе вязала салфетки крючком, но никогда не задумывалась, что можно и одеяло связать. Очень нравится результат,  боюсь, что использовать как плед будет жалко :)

Итак часть 3 и 4 Sophie’s Universe

Sophie’s Universe CAL 2015

Углядела еще один проект по вязанию покрывала крючком и не смогла пройти мимо. Видимо этот год у меня будет все-таки вязальный :) .
Итак проект называется  Sophie’s Universe CAL 2015 , рассчитан на 20 недель, стартовал с середины января и продлится до конца мая, так что мне придется долго догонять остальных участниц. За вечер учспела связать первую и вторую часть.  Самая сложная часть для меня это скомбинировать последовательность цветов, чтоб в итоге получилась красота :) Как сорока набрала понравившейся пряжи, а теперь ломаю голуву какой ряд каким цветом вязать..
Ну и ... то, что имею на данный момент 1-15 ряды

The 2015 Moogly Afghan CAL Block #4

The block #4 is Family Square the pattern was easy to follow but I skipped the last row (the most tricky one) as I didn't want the square to be bigger then the others. Otherwise I like it. 


Блок номер 4 Family Square  . Схемка показалась достаточно простой, но я не стала делать последний ряд (самый сложный), так как не хотела, чтоб размер этого квадрата был больше чем остальные. А в остальном этот квадрат мне очень понравился.

February TUSAL

I am a little bit late with February TUSAL , but better late then never  :)

Last month I worked on "Hope" by Mill Hill and on my crocheting project.  I really enjoyed working with beads and definitely love the result.

The 2015 Moogly Afghan CAL Blocks #2 and #3

I made 2 more blocks for this challenge and I like them very much!  Block #2 is a Starburst Square by  Tera Kulling, on Trifles N Treasures.  It was rather challenging but the result is outstanding. And the block #3 is  The Windmill Square by Lorene Eppolite

 

New Year starts with New Projects

One very nice girl will have a birthday soon and I was thinking what I can do for her? I love stitching, love beading... well, actually, all crafts, lol! But most of all I love to mix different kinds of craft.

So I chose one of Mill Hill designs which combines stitching and beading.  It is Hope from the series Words for Life.  Of cause this special girl doesn't know about it but I hope she will love it :) Just started this kit along with my Afghan crochet project.

У одной замечательной девушки скоро будет ден рождения и я долго думала, чтобы такого ей подарить?  Я люблю разные виды рукоделия, но больше всего мне нравятся комбинированые техники. Поэтому я остановила свой выбор на дизайне Mill Hill. Работа называется Hope (Надежда) из серии Words for Life. Конечно, подруга не знает о готовящемся подарке, но я надеюсь, что он ей понравится :)

And I would like to show my January ORT  jar for TUSAL . Well it has some yarn ends inside, I finally finished my chair cover made of granny squares.  I started it about two years ago and.. it looks awkward so I am not showing it :)
